Fall 2026 Season begins with games September 12 and continues for 6 weeks, concluding on October 17. Practices may begin 8/30.
Spring 2027 Season begins with games April 17 and continues for 6 weeks to conclude May 22. Practices begin April 6-10 for divisions 8U, 10U, and 12U.
Practice days/times are decided by the coaches and will be communicated once teams are finalized. Teams usually come together a month before the first game, so an email from the Coaches should be expected sometime within that month.
Registration is designed for BOTH players and coaches to commit to both Fall and Spring seasons. If your circumstances require that you only register for ONE season at this time, you will need to email [email protected] soon after registering. Your player will be removed from the roster in the winter as we prepare for spring.
THE COST FOR ONE SEASON AND TWO SEASONS IS THE SAME! You are REGISTERING ONCE for both Fall 2025 and Spring 2026.
If registering before May 17, there will be a $15 discount applied per player.
If registering after August 1, there will be a $20 late fee applied per player.
*Family discounts are applied for the 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc. family member(s) being registered ($10 off each subsequent player).
Players will automatically be placed on the team of their volunteer parents (i.e. coaches, team parents). We will NOT be honoring player or coach requests outside of immediate family. If you desire to be placed with a specific teammate, the best way to guarantee that is to volunteer! Both parents of those players can register themselves as coaches and specify their co-coach request in their volunteer registration.

Upon registering, your child will automatically be assigned to the appropriate division based on their birth year and the AYSO National Age Guidelines for this specific year. Trust the system. Practices for the older age divisions (8U, 10U, 12U and 14U) begins the week prior to the first game. The coaches for these divisions will hold a meet and greet session and short practice that week (see Age Division Descriptions for more details on typical practice/game times - specific practice times will be determined by the coaches for each team).
FAQ: Why is my child on a Waitlist?? Waitlists are sometimes put in place - NOT because we have a set number of players able to be admitted, rather we have to constantly balance the supply of volunteer (parent/family member) coaches with the demand of players.
Simply put, if we do not have parents/family members registering themselves as volunteers, we cannot actually form teams.
Waitlists are also initiated so that in the event we do not get enough coaches, the task of refunding families is not applicable. If/when your child gets placed on the Waitlist after attempting to register, your credit card DOES NOT get charged. Your player must be activated from the Waitlist or taken out of that holding place for you to then go back into your account and pay the balance that is due. Our system does not allow players to be allocated to teams if balances are left unpaid.
So if your player is on a Waitlist...
1. Register as a Volunteer (as children will automatically be given priority and get placed on a parent's/family member's team) OR wait patiently until someone else steps up to coach and allows for a new team to be created.
2. Upon activation from the Waitlist (you'll get an email saying your player was activated) - go back to your account, click your shopping cart and pay the balance due.
3. Look forward to a fun season of soccer! If you've volunteered, you'll receive an email with further instructions for training requirements and instructions to complete a background check. If you've volunteered with Mattawan AYSO before, you might have all of your volunteer requirements satisfied already!!
All practices and games are held at the fields on Aylworth and M-140, south of the high school.
